Red flag with several emblems (crossed hands, laurel wreath, or "Liberty, equality, fraternity" between the main ones).

Red flag with diagonal black letters SPD (from lower hoist to upper fly). The letters have a yellow shadow. This flag was in use until c. 1961. In the last times it was less used in favour of a variant design that showed smaller black letters, with a yellow fimbriation rather than shadow. The letters were stylized.
